Opie - ON MEDICAL HOLD the Dog needs a home
Opie, Opie, Opie . What a good boy he is. His prior owners were not able to take care of him so we welcomed him into our group with open arms. Opie is about 3.5 years old. He is great with other dogs, cats and little kids. And of course he loves all people. He is well mannered, very playful, loves to be petted and loved on and be the center of your attention. But with a beautiful boy like him, you simply can't say no to him. He is a big friendly guy. And he listens well and is eager to please !
Opie is currently on anti-seizure medications to help keep any seizures away. He is currently taking the 50mg twice a day dosage and does just fine when he is given his meds. No problems. Phenobarbital is not an expensive medication but this will be required by whoever adopts him.
Currently (1/9/18) we are still treating Opie for a severe urine infection where he is still peeing blood even after a couple of weeks. We have done x-rays on him, did an ultrasound looking for obvious masses or bladders times. We have ran multiple bloodwork and urine tests as well. At one point he lost 7lbs in one week . We were very worried about him He is slowly getting better, He has actually gained 5lbs back and is not urinating as much But we will continue with the antibiotics he is on .
He is neutered, current on his vaccines, tested negative for heartworm and is free of internal parasites. he is also micro chipped. His adoption fee is $350
